A software-defined data center (SDDC) is an environment in which all resources of the infrastructure - networking, storage, compute and security are virtualized and delivered as a service. Deployment, provisioning, configuration and operation of the entire infrastructure is abstracted from underlying hardware and implemented through software. The four elements of SDDC are: Server Virtualization, Software Defined Storage (SDS), Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Security (SDSec).
